Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree
Must be highly motivated, energetic and a fast learner
Excellent problem resolution skills
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Must be able to work independently in a fast paced environment
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
Outstanding organizational and time management skills
Ability to negotiate and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities
The Logistics Trainee program is a 1-2 month training program. During this time you will gain valuable logistics and transportation experience that will prepare you for one of the following positions:
Logistics Support Specialist
or
Logistics Account Executive
Logistics Support Specialist
Accurately dispatch drivers to pick up shipments
Resolve billing and customer service issues regarding shortages, damages, delays, etc
Accurately enter and maintain up-to-date information on a continuous basis in the Fetch operating system
Track and trace all shipments that have picked up using the internet and telephone
Communicates at least once a day with carriers while shipments are in transit to ensure on time delivery
Work quickly to identify problems that develop and notify appropriate parties
Set up new carriers who desire to do business with Fetch for the first time
Negotiate freight rates with carriers
Locate equipment to cover shipments
Problem resolution
Evaluate and communicate carrier performance and work with carriers to improve areas of service deficiency
Work with carriers to ensure the availability of equipment for all customer shipments
Build and maintain carrier relationships
Logistics Account Executive
Generate leads through research and phone calls
Provide rate quotes and negotiate with prospective and current customers to secure new business
Develop relationships with potential new customers
Keep an active sales pipeline of new prospects
Maintain existing customers through phone and in-person contact to strengthen relationships and increase business levels
Resolve any serious billing and customer service issues
Document sales activity in the Fetch sales database and keep up-to-date information on a continuous basis
95% inside sales prospecting on the phone and 5% face to face customer/prospect contact
Act as a liaison between customer and operations group
