Bob Closs and William Wilcox started Fetch Logistics in 1997 in a corner of Closs' parents' basement. They had formerly worked together for a national transportation company’s Western New York regional office and developed some of their own ideas about how to run a logistics operation. Rather than trying to change the policies of their employer, Closs and Wilcox started their own business. As the company grew, they were joined in 2001 by partner Bob Atwater.
From 2002 through 2005, Fetch Logistics earned a place on the Inc. magazine list of 500 fastest growing privately held companies in America. Three office moves later and with an additional office in Chicago, Fetch Logistics has evolved into a premier transportation provider servicing Fortune 500 companies as well as smaller emerging businesses throughout the United States.
